Every year since 2005, Dr. Ashley has been extremely grateful and honored to be voted “Burbank’s Best Dermatologist” by readers of the Burbank Leader, and in more recent years has been named a “Top Doctor” in Los Angeles Magazine and Pasadena Magazine. Upon completing his dermatology training at USC, he opened an office on Alameda Avenue where he practiced continuously until joining Skin and Beauty Center in 2019.

Dr. Ashley is board-certified by the American Board of Dermatology and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. He is a member of the Dermatology Department at the Keck School of Medicine at USC where he serves as Adjunct Clinical Professor of Dermatology. He has served as President of the Los Angeles Metropolitan Dermatological Society and is a member of the California Medical Society and the California Dermatology Society.
Preventing skin cancer is a major focus of concern for Dr. Ashley. In 2003 he founded the nonprofit organization “Sun Safety for Kids” and more recently its subdivision, “UV & Me.” He participates as a research partner and co-author in ongoing NIH-funded studies on sun safety in schools. Dr. Ashley also serves at the National Council on Skin Cancer Prevention where in 2008 he originated the National Health Observance, “Don’t Fry Day” which is observed on the Friday before Memorial Day each year to raise awareness about skin cancer prevention.
