With a membership of more than 19,000, it represents virtually all practicing dermatologists in the United States, as well as a growing number of international dermatologists.

Through ABMS, the boards work together to establish common standards for physicians to achieve and maintain board certification. The boards were founded by their respective specialties to protect the public by assessing and certifying doctors who meet specific educational, training and professional requirements. The American Board of Dermatology is an independent, non-profit organization.

The aims and objectives of the ISDP are to increase knowledge of the structure and function of the skin and of diseases of the skin by microscopy. The Society intends to promote friendship and scientific exchanges among its members of different countries; to sponsor international and regional meetings; and to sponsor educational events.
The Melanoma Research Foundation (MRF) is the largest independent organization devoted to melanoma. The MRF is a 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization. Committed to the support of medical research in finding effective treatments and eventually a cure for melanoma, the MRF also educates patients, caregivers and physicians about the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of melanoma.
The National Psoriasis Foundation's mission is to work towards finding a cure for psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis and to eliminate their devastating effects through research, advocacy and education.
