David H. Friedman, MD graduated summa cum laude with membership in Phi Beta Kappa from the University of California, San Diego. After receiving his medical degree from UCLA, he completed a residency in Dermatology at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center.
Currently in private practice, Dr. Friedman is also a Clinical Professor at the University of Southern California. He began teaching skin surgery to Dermatology Residents at Harbor-UCLA in 1986, and has taught at the USC Department of Dermatology since 1996. For the past 15 years, he has instructed and supervised Dermatology Residents in Mohs Micrographic Surgery.
Awarded the annual USC Keck School of Medicine Outstanding Surgery Teaching Award in Surgical Dermatology on multiple occasions, Dr. Friedman has also produced a textbook on surgical flaps, entitled Making Decisions and Avoiding Complications in Skin Flaps, by David Friedman and Payam Saadat, published in 2012 by Informa Healthcare, London.
Dr. Friedman is available for Mohs surgery appointments in our Burbank, Northridge, Santa Clarita and Verdugo Hills offices.
