What are Sculptra® injections?
Sculptra® injections are a type of facial injectable that are used to replenish lost collagen, add volume to the facial area, and improve the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. Sculptra® is made from poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), a synthetic polymer that has been used in medical devices for many years. When injected into the deep layers of the skin, PLLA helps to stimulate new collagen growth over time. What can I expect from my Sculptra® injection services?
Sculptra® injections are typically given in a series of three treatments spaced several weeks apart. Each treatment session only takes about 15 minutes, and there is no downtime required afterward. For best results, it is recommended to wait at least six weeks between treatments.
How long does it take to see changes and improvements from Sculptra® injections?
Results from Sculptra® injections can take several weeks or even months to appear. This is because the PLLA must first be broken down by the body before new collagen can begin to grow. However, once results do appear, they are long-lasting and can last for up to two years with proper maintenance.
