Deanna is a lifelong resident of Los Angeles. She completed both her undergraduate and Physician Assistant training at Keck School of Medicine of USC in 1997. She first started her PA career in Family Medicine, treating both adult and pediatric populations. She has worked in Women’s Health as well as OB/GYN, pediatrics, occupational health, Infectious Diseases, Homeless Healthcare, Radiology and has been in Dermatology since 2010. Deanna enjoys both medical and surgical dermatology. She assists in Mohs surgery and is also trained in lasers to include Vbeam, ndYag, and IPL.
Deanna continues to work in outpatient Dermatology since 2013 at LAC+USC Medical Center along with USC Dermatology residents and faculty which has allowed for her to broaden her knowledge. She has an ongoing commitment to learning by attending medical conferences and maintaining continuing medication education. Deanna is board certified by the NCCPA and maintains her license by the board of California. Deanna has been a clinical preceptor for physician assistant students both from USC PA program as well as Western University of Health Sciences. She is an active member of Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (SDPA), California Academy of Physician Assistants (CAPA) and American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA). She sits on the USC Alumni panel for prospective PA students applying to the USC PA program. Deanna is bilingual in Spanish.
