Dr. Alan M. Mantell graduated from Chicago Medical School then continued on to Cedars Sinai for a year in internal medicine. After, he completed a year at Montefiore Medical Center in New York.
Dr. Mantell was a flight surgeon in the United States Air Force and attained the rank of major. He completed his residency in dermatology at Wadsworth UCLA Medical Center. Dr. Mantell served as an assistant clinical professor at UCLA for 20 years.
Selected by his peers as Best Doctor of the Year, Dr. Mantell was awarded from 2004 through 2016. He was one of the first physicians in Los Angeles to use Botox starting in 1992. Dr. Mantell has a special interest in psoriasis. He is board certified in dermatology and dermatopathology and has been in private practice in Glendale for over 35 years.
